Am I The Only One...

Naturally as a San Carlos, CA native... I was pleased when the San Francisco Giants became World Series Champions in 2010. Doubly cool was seeing UW's Tim Lincecum go 4-1 in the post-season (2.43, 43 K's)...

As a Dazed and Confused fan, the Mitch Kramer comparison was obvious...

Goodbye, Don Meredith...

A two-time All-American at SMU and franchise-start up QB for the fledgling Dallas Cowboys, Meredith (with Tom Landry, below) would lead the Cowboys to two legendary NFL Championship Games in 1966, 1967 against the Green Bay Packers...

Later, as a 3-time All-Pro and NFL Player of the Year in 1966, Meredith would suddenly retire after nine seasons with Dallas and join ABC's maiden broadcast team for a new show called Monday Night Football. The stint would last 14 years...

Always smiling and upbeat, Don Meredith was a popular personality both on and off the field...

Don Meredith played his entire career of high school, college, and pro football in the Dallas, Texas area. He had an NFL 50.7 percent completion rate, throwing for 17,199 yards and 135 touchdowns with a lifetime passer rating of 74.8.

I'd rather see a sermon than hear one any day;
I'd rather one should walk with me than merely tell the way.
The eye's a better pupil, more willing than the ear;
Fine counsel is confusing, but example's always clear.

Utlities & Appliances Day...

Seoul City Gas, Korean Electric Power Co, Seoul Water Now, and SK Telecom reps dropped by #2704... then the Maytag Man put in the washer and dryer...

Nothing says "Welcome home" like a dryer in the entry...

It's close to the only available gas line...

Normally, Korean's use drying racks instead...

SK cable/internet comes with English channels...

Koreans don't drink tap water... but I think it tastes great!

Sparking Clean - Top to Bottom...

My 550 sq ft "super hooch" took about 3 hours to clean...

The refrigerator, stove, vinyl floors and bath took the lion share...

The Housing inspector, Ms. Yi checked EVERYTHING with a white paper towel looking for dirt. She found one flaw - a smudge on a window blind.  Easy fix!

Moving Day at Casey...

This is good-bye to my BOQ (Bachelor Officer's Quarters - Building #691)...

The Hanjin Moving crew knocked out my packing and loading in no time flat...

In Korea, folks carry "b-ass a-ackwards" and see where they're going... smart!

I'm such a geographic bachelor! My stuff hardly made a dent... check the Trek Madone!

I Gotta Name...

Our nifty, ACU-pattern scrubs have spots for rank and name tape...

I wear a lab coat too and go nameless...

Until ordering my tag from a shop in Seoul...

Don't forget who you are!

Best Buy in Town...

I picked up a Bugatchi Uomo shirt (retail $95) for ten bucks...

Korean knock-off or over priced?

The kitchen...

The master bedroom...

With closets, a vanity, and a master bath...

Here are the other 3 bedrooms and guest bath...

Great views of Seoul from every window...

A security panel with video monitor, thermostats (A/C & floor heating) and personal elevator call button...

In the entrance, the closet turns into a shoe rack...

Here's a floor plan...
