The shopkeeper coaxes me, "Ayran... Eet's vehry guud." The label says, "Pasteurized cow's milk, yoghurt culture, water" and I'm thinking this could be like "Calpis," the tasty Asian fermented milk drink...
So, I get home to my CHU and take out this ice cold bottle... give it a shake... pop open the lid and take a sip... it's BUTTERMILK! Doing the next best thing I mix Tang...and have a lemon-lime buttermilk smoothie!
