Just to the west of Uijeongbu Station is Bukhansan National Park and its spectacular granite peaks...
I'm surrounded by Himalayan-clad climbers... some with helmets, rope and ice axes! Whew...
Up to the halfway point.... and a view of Seoul to the south...
The trail up top got a little steep and crowded...
But the view was incredible and made for a great lunch spot...
On the way back down, descending on stairs in some places...
We passed Gwangnyunsa Temple, mountain climbing vendors, and free Dr. You snack bars...
