The Fab Four...

Brown rice, whole grain toast, whey smoothies and old-fashion oatmeal... my dietary mainstays! Add to that chicken, canned salmon, beans, non-fat dairy, nuts, veggies and fresh fruit.

I picked up collard green, and Hoppin' John recipes from a patient and added these "Southern comforts" to my repertoire. For the past 6 months, I've dropped most refined carbs, and trans/saturated fats. I have to draw the line at peanut butter... gotta have that stuff!

Here's a great snack... one cup of OJ, a scoop of whey protein, and a half of a frozen banana... blended... tastes just like an Orange Julius.
