Happy 235th...

The Army celebrated its 235th birthday today. There were brass bands, special dinners with nice menu items, and big wigs cutting cake...

For those of us who dig pain there was a brisk 7k run at 0600 to beat the Iraqi heat. The run (a lap around Z-Lake and a lap around Signal Hill in Camp Liberty) was sponsored by 1st Armored Division...

Let it be known that I only run for t-shirts now... no more "freebie" Army runs... no shirt, no run! 1,200 runners and 400 shirts... gotta go out fast!!

My goal was to run 7k/4.35 miles in under 30 minutes... and did it in 28:20... and I didn't get beat by any girls!
