Seoul Food du Jour...

Tonight's dinner of feijãoda honors the upcoming Carnival season starting on February 23rd in Brazil. Side dishes of jasmine rice, couve mineira and orange slices were added to fill out the meal traditionally.

Chicken and turkey kielbasa helped keep the dish super healthy. To a "Não-Brasileiro" dinner tasted pretty good. Note that milk (non-fat) was substituted for diet Guarana! Naturally thoughts turn to Elder Stuart Taylor living in Conselheiro Lafaiete, Minas Gerais. I raise my glass of leite to you!

Here is a cool site promoting the San Diego Carnival.

Here is another Brazilian cuisine site featuring a nifty, meatless feijãoda recipe.
