The world of Mex-Tex cuisine thrives in San Antonio. So many choices, so little time. A couple of my favorites thus far:Mi Tierra - Located in the Mercado in Downtown San Antonio. Super crowded and they sport una panadería muy deliciosa! Rosario's - A cool, trendy place located along Alamo Street in South Town. Los Barrios - In the north end, by the San Antonio Temple... busy but tasty. Taco Cabana - Ok... it's a fast food joint but it's yummy and cheap with homemade tortillas to boot!
So, I'm hooked on Pollo a la Maria, Gallete de Coco cookies, Chicken Flameante and Enfrijoladas. Just say "adiós" to that barely visible six-pack of mine!
