An AMEDD Christmas Present...

This morning I got the official letter announcing an oral maxillofacial surgery selection via email. COL Manga said, "I'm sure this news will add to a great Christmas Season. I know spending Christmas away from your immediate family is hard but I am sure that you will remember being with Soldiers celebrating Christmas many years from now as being special."

This evening I opened my real presents by phone... patched through a local AFB... and had a grand time chatting with the family.

There were Christmas events at Cropper and a nice Holiday dinner planned at the Stryker dining facility. My one true Christmas wish: A residency at Madigan Army Medical Center. They announce locations in one month. Cross those fingers.
