After a week of training, medical exams and paperwork at Fort Benning's CRC (CONUS Replacement Center), everyone is ready to deploy. This was my first stay in Georgia where the weather has been chilly--some slight touches of snow on Monday.
The CRC reminds me of the Missionary Training Center... a staging ground for an overseas trip. It all culminates with a flight from Freedom Hall, the deploying terminal at Lawson Airfield. Spirits are high!
Like new missionaries to the field, all 22 CRC dentists will fly together to Kuwait and replace departing dentists in various clinics in Iraq. Like one big mission transfer.
