On Mason's recommendation I started reading The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Delayed at SeaTac and laid-over in Atlanta made a book handy. I must say I struggled through the first 50 pages. McCarthy's lack of concrete detail was not a warm fuzzy.Given a little time, I grew to appreciate the freedom his style creates. Though not finished, The Road is a tender, compelling story in an apocryphal world. And maybe I'll finish it somewhere over the Atlantic or maybe in Europe.
Thanks Mase!
