For a break from DFAC dining... SPC Villar suggested we eat at this little restaurant by al-Salam Palace. There are a couple of Middle Eastern restaurants inside Prosperity to choose from...
The appetizer consisted of turshi... pickled vegetables, laffa (flat bread) and hummus. The main course was a mixture of lamb and beef kibbeh with chicken kebab, rice and fattoush (salad).
Not bad and plenty to eat... the dinner ran about 12,000 dinar, or $10.
